Shouldn't I just ask my doctor about hormones for menopause?
YES! I strongly recommend that you talk with your doctor about hormones for menopause. For most people, that's not as simple as it sounds. You can't just whip out your phone and call up your physician to talk for 45 minutes about the good and bad of hormone replacement. You'll call and make an appointment, which might not be right away. You'll go into the office, pay a copay for an office visit. A nurse will take your vital signs and ask you some health questions. Recent surveys show the average time a doctor spends with a patient is 13 to 16 minutes! It might be helpful to have all your basic hormone questions already answered by the videos in Journey to Optimal Hormones so you can ask more specific ones when you see your physician.
What if my doctor is opposed to me taking hormones?
That's a tricky situation many women face. You may eventually come to a decision point.
